  • There are no snowmobile trail fee's in the ANF.

  • OH & PA are reciprocating, so no additional registration fee's are required as long as you have a valid Ohio registration.

  • The cost for PA residents to ride in NY is $35 for one year.

2. Where can I find accommodations?

The closest accommodations to our clubhouse is in Russell City. The Russell City Store rents cabins and is a great place to stay, see our  Local Business page for  more information as well as other places to stay.

In addition the following two links have Lodging information for the ANF:

The Allegheny National Forest Vacation Bureau web site, lodging page.

Another link is to the PA Great Outdoors site, focusing on the Marienville area:

3. Where can we park and unload?

There are parking facilities at the ATV Trail Heads in the ANF. See the ANF website for Trailhead locations/directions, etc.

You may be able to get permission from a local business (restaurant, inn, etc.) to park in their lots, but please park at your own risk of getting towed, etc.

4. Where to you recommend we ride?

Very tough question, but we get it a lot. It all depends on what you enjoy & how far you are willing to travel. Of course there is always more snow up North, so we recommend the ride around the Kinzua area and a stop at the Westline Inn.  From there you can head south to the Back Woods Inn.  Since Marienville has closer highway access, there are always more people there and usually slightly less snow. It's a great place to start your trip and the whole town welcomes Snowmobilers.   Our favorite ride is to do the whole "Loop" - Trail 1 and make a side trip up to the Westline Inn.

If you happen to come through Russell City on 948, please stop at the Russell City General Store to get gas, supplies, etc. and patronize them. They are right off of trail 25. If you need a place to stay, they have a house next door for rent, see our Local Businesses page for more info.

Our Local Businesses page has information on some of our favorite stops along the trail. Please tell them you were referred by the Pennsylvania Snowseekers.

5. How do we get to PA Trail system from the NY Trail System?

Coming soon

6. Where are the gas stops at?

7. Where can we rent sleds?

Marienville Power Sports carries Arctic cat, Ski-Doo and Yamaha and have sled rentals.  They have a page on their site but it doesn't have any info yet, so call them for details  Never mind someone called and they don't rent sleds anymore.
