Well, the gang made it back from Old Forge and everyone had a good time. There were no accidents on the trail but, some vehicle damage was reported, due to bad weather in route. Check out the web site for a tour of their fabulous getaway.
If you haven’t been to camp lately there have been some improvements. The kids room is almost finished. Also, Hawk and Jerry installed new blinds in the front windows and framed in the rug (on the wall) by the fireplace. It looks great. Thanks guys.
Due to all the phone calls from members and fellow riders grooming in the National Forest has resumed and the trails have never been better. Thanks to all who called and voiced their opinion. That just shows that YOUR VOICE DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
Bill Eastley made a homemade groomer to smooth out our connector trail and it is working nicely. Thanks Bill.
The Spring A.N.F. meeting will be April 5th, 2003 at the clubhouse at 9:00 am. If you have any questions for the forestry on grooming, trail maintenance or any other topic please try to attend.
Our annual St. Patrick’s weekend will be March 14th-16th. Hopefully there will still be snow so we can ride in our GREEN top hats. Please bring a covered dish or dessert or even a friend.
I am sad to report that the club has lost a long time member. John Chvala (JJ) was killed while working on his bobcat machine earlier this month. He will be missed. Also, our hearts go out to Mary Jane Hyre for she has lost her father due to sudden illness. Let’s send out our sympathy and prayers to these two families in this time of grief.
GOOD OF THE CLUB: Since there is an abundance of snow and the clubhouse is being used weekly please respect others property. If it’s not yours DO NOT TOUCH. If you borrow PUT IT BACK. Respectfully submitted,
Jack & Wendy |
